Over the years, MAD-learn has made virtual internships available to students around the world. As a global team with offices in Ghana, India, and across the U.S., we believe in connecting students from around the world to learn from each other and sharpen their skills as well as acquire new skills for future careers. Our team has been operating virtually for several years and our goal is to have students experience what it is like to do meaningful work virtually as part of a global team.

Based on their interests, students are assigned to senior MAD-team member mentors who assign weekly tasks for them to accomplish. The students report directly to their mentors, who help them navigate through challenges they may have. MAD-learn's virtual internship program offers flexibility and is based on the needs and schedule of the student. Students dictate how many hours per week they are available and we plan accordingly. While our internships are unpaid, students gain invaluable life and career skills and leave with artifacts to build their portfolios and resumes.

Due to the high demand for our internship program and the limited number of students we can take on, only students who have used MAD-learn in the classroom, at a camp, or in some other capacity are eligible to apply to intern with us.

Schedule an interview

Once the application form is completed and submitted, the student will receive an automated email that includes a URL to schedule an interview with MAD-learn’s Director of Internships.

Internship offer

After a successful interview, an official offer letter is emailed to the student, specifying roles, responsibilities, and the duration of the internship. This letter is signed by both the student and their parent or guardian.
